Having fun with Auntie J and Uncle M

On Friday,we hiked to Mirror Lake around the Mt. Hood area. It was a pretty easy hike and Joshua did a pretty good job. Since we knew that there are camping sites within the area, we decided to go back with Aunt J and Uncle M for an overnight camping trip.

So Saturday afternoon,we all headed to the mountain for a bit of hiking and camping. Joshua had a lot of fun hiking and during the night when we were setting up camp. He enjoyed wading by the lake and throwing rocks at the lake too. We were the only ones in the area that night so it was pretty quiet. The place is beautiful at night as well, we did some star gazing a bit and headed to bed a bit earlier than our usual 2AM bedtime.



When the morning came, it was still fun until Joshua started complaining about his hurting right cheek. Boy was he miserable, he didn't want to eat and do anything and cried most of the time. All of a sudden he forgot about all of the fun stuff he did the night before. Which is too bad since he really had lots of fun. We all had fun. It was beautiful out there in the forest. If only he didn't have to deal with a swollen cheek due to some infection it would have been really the perfect camping trip for us.
