Eventful week

The previous week had been crazy busy and fun. Joshua had boy scout camp all week long. They did BB guns, archery, roping, crafting, obstacle courses and many more that has a lot to do with getting muddy, dirty and hurt :) Joshua got several bulls eye shots on both archery and BB gun, he was pretty proud of himself. Pat volunteered the first couple days so that was really nice.

On his birthday, he felt very special with the whole campers singing happy birthday to him. Apparently, he was the only celebrant at the camp that day. We took him out for pizza and had homemade apple pie for dessert. His friend Lola came over for a while to give him his pressie.

Thursday, we went for my 20th week checkup. It was nice to see baby growing at 12oz, it sure feels like baby is a lot heavier than that :) Everything is going well so that is always great news. In the early evening Joshua had his first day of hockey lesson. Boy was he exhausted that day since he went straight from camp. Halfway on the session and he came out in tears, he complained about his head hurting and turns out he just needed a helmet adjustment. After that, he went back in and finished the lesson. He was quite a trooper.

Friday, we went for barbecue dinner at their camp. The boys prepared skits for everyone. After that, we had movie night at our neighbors driveway. Jerry used his projector on a bed sheet and we all watched Avatar on the homemade screen with neighbors and friends. We were up til almost midnight including Joshua...it was a fun doing that with good friends and neighbors.

Saturday, we had Joshua's birthday party. He had 9 kids at his party. They played on the water slide, spent a lot of time hitting each other with water balloons. The weather wasn't that great at 69F but with thanks to humidity - it sure felt warmer. The crowd left mostly at around 5PM and that is when we all crashed from exhaustion :) It was a great party according to the birthday boy so that was worth it.

Today, the boys might go ice skating again to hush on Shua's skills while I sit and read a book :) Calmer weeks ahead and that is always a good thing!
