There were 81 participants from 33 countries, 7 from the Philippines including me. The court room was pretty packed and probably took about a couple of hours for the whole thing. The first part was mostly spent on filling up voter registration forms (45mins) then followed with the ceremony (15mins) then some words of wisdom from several speakers, all of which are representatives of voting groups and leagues. It went pretty smoothly however it was pretty tough to take pictures, the room was dark and packed since one candidate brought her entire clan - no kidding they almost took the whole right wing of the court room. In the end though it was a pretty exciting day for me. J seems to be the most excited of us all, he is pretty proud of Mom becoming an American. Our neighbor told us that he told everyone he saw during their walk to school. They watched him for us for an hour since we had a parent teacher conference in the afternoon. The day was packed with excitement, joy, good school reviews and a little surprise...

a sweet surprise from my neighbor... Cosmopolitan. For some reason, I actually wanted to have a little drink yesterday and boy it sure helped me sleep well. I didn't drink the whole thing of course and so I still have some left over for tonight...another good sleep awaits me tonight - yipee!
