Summer Solstice

In 2007, summer begins June 21, 2:06 P.M. EDT. This is a big day and a major turning point of the year as the Summer Solstice occurs with the Sun's entry into Cancer. In the Northern Hemisphere the longest day and shortest night of the year occur on this date, marking the beginning of summer. But that is not the only thing special about today...it's Tita Ann's Birthday!
