Operation demolition

We have been doing a carpet demolition on our hallways and Joshua's bedroom to be the last two days. We have decided to complete our bamboo floor project while P is on break.

marked grid pattern the size of our garbage bin on the carpet and fiber board for easy cutting and disposal.

here's the back breaking labor of removing the heavy, dusty and nail-riddled fiber board.

after about 10 hrs of back breaking work - the end result is an ugly subfloor! ... he he he...

We're still in the process of acclimating the floor to the room and that will take about 2 weeks. Then, we can lay down the beautiful floors. Of course that will be another back breaking task but the overall end result will definitely be worth it!

We thought it is a good time to do it now before we head out for our much awaited Hawaiian escapade. Actually, it is my one way of guaranteeing that we won't do any back breaking hike or bike ride in Hawaii - since our back already hurts now, he he he!

How much you charge for your contracting work? Maybe I can have you out here to help me out!

For you, it's free... You just have to pay for the plane ride, let us use your shower, feed us every once in a while, and entertain a generally good little kid!

I think that Mr W's Dad would probably do a much better job though :)
